About Wobble Wheelie

Wobble Wheelie is a one-button motorcycle game about riding a wheelie. Hold anywhere on the screen to open the throttle and the front wheel lifts; let go and the nose drops. Balanced on its back wheel, the bike keeps climbing for as long as you hold, so the way to stay up is to pulse the throttle, as a real rider does. You can play it in this browser right now.

It is not in a store yet. It is coming to the App Store and Google Play, and until it arrives the browser version is how to play it. There is no download button on this page because there is nothing to download yet.

The higher you hold the nose, the more each second pays, up to five times as much. Those points are not yours yet: they stack up in gold under the score until you let the nose down to bank them, and a crash loses the whole pot. Rocks need the front wheel up to clear them, and barrels need it much higher, which is exactly where the bike is closest to going over.

Beams hang across the road in the later worlds and have to be ridden under, still in a wheelie for triple points. Ramps throw the bike into the air, and the faster you hit one, the higher you fly. Hold on up there to spin a backflip, or double-tap for a front flip, and a gold ring lights up at the moment to let go. Land on your wheels and the flip pays; land on your back and it is a crash.

There are eighty levels across eight worlds, from the Highway, which teaches the throttle pulse, to the Badlands, where beams and ramps come together. Each level has a target score that opens the next, and three stars to earn. Endless runs until the third crash, and Time Attack is a race to 6,000 points in which the clock is the score. Today’s Challenge deals the same road to everyone each day, with no streak to keep up.

Twenty-five badges mark things like a first obstacle cleared, a 25-second wheelie and a double flip, and nine of them unlock a bike in the Garage. There are ten bikes, and every one rides exactly the same; the color is the reward. There are no coins, no shop and no purchases. Gentler play softens the gravity and slows the road for younger riders, and keeps those scores separately. The browser version has no ads and no analytics, and your progress is kept in this browser’s storage.

How it plays

  1. Hold to open the throttle. With a finger, the mouse or the Space bar. The front wheel comes up.
  2. Pulse it. The nose keeps climbing while you hold, and past straight up the bike loops over backwards.
  3. Clear the road. Rocks need the front wheel up, barrels need it much higher, and beams have to be ridden under.
  4. Bank the pot. Wheelie points stack up in gold under your score. Let the nose down to keep them before a crash takes them.
  5. Flip off the ramps. Hold in the air for a backflip and let go when the gold ring lights, or double-tap for a front flip. Land on your wheels.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get Wobble Wheelie on the App Store or Google Play?

Not yet. It is coming to both. Until it lands, you can play it in this browser, free, with nothing to install.

Does Wobble Wheelie pay me anything?

No. There are no coins in it at all, and nothing to buy. Bikes are unlocked by badges, and badges by riding. The apps that do pay are on their own page, at a published rate.

Can I play it with a keyboard?

Yes. Click the game once, then hold the Space bar, the Up arrow or W to open the throttle, and let go to bring the nose down. A front flip is the one move the keys can't do: it takes a double click or a double tap.

Who is it for?

Anyone who likes a short, hard game, and it's built so a child can play it: one button, no reading needed to ride, and a Gentler play setting that softens the gravity and slows the road. Scores set with it are kept separately from the rest.

Can you lose?

A round ends at the third crash, and a level stays locked until you beat the target score on the one before it. There are no lives to buy back and nothing to wait for, so you can ride again straight away.

Does the browser version have ads?

No. The ad network has no browser version, so there's nothing to show. The store versions will carry a small banner on the menus, never on the road while you ride, and no version has rewarded videos.

Does it save my progress?

Yes, in this browser. Levels cleared, stars, best scores, badges and bikes are kept in the browser’s own storage, not in an account, so they don't follow you to another browser or device, and clearing your site data or using a private window loses them.
