Terms of Service

Illumination Development

Last Updated: August 21, 2026

These terms apply to the mobile applications published by Illumination Development, L.L.C. ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") and to this website. Installing one of our apps, or continuing to use it, means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the apps.

We have written this the way we write everything else here, in plain language, because a document nobody can read is not really a disclosure. How the apps are funded and what the numbers mean is explained further on how rewards work.

Who May Use the Apps

You must be at least 18 years old to redeem coins for a PayPal payment. This is a requirement of the payment process rather than a preference of ours, and we may ask you to confirm it before a payment is sent. We do not send payments to anyone we know to be under 18.

The apps themselves are not intended for anyone under the age of 13, or under the minimum age required by the law where you live if that age is higher. This matches our Privacy Policy, which explains what the apps collect.

You are also responsible for making sure that using a reward app is lawful where you live, and that you are able to receive a payment through PayPal there.

Your Account

One person may hold one account per app. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. If you believe someone else is using your account, tell us at support@illuminationdevelopment.com.

What Coins Are

Coins are a record of activity inside one of our apps. They are not money, not a currency, and not a stored-value instrument. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred between people, transferred between our apps, or exchanged for anything other than the payment described in the next section.

There is nothing to buy in order to earn coins. We do not sell coins, we do not sell a subscription that earns them faster, and there is no deposit at any point. Everything the apps pay out is funded by advertising revenue, which is set out in full in how reward apps make money.

Coins have no cash value until you redeem them, and a coin balance is a record we hold rather than money held on your behalf. We say the same thing about every other app in this category, and it would be poor form not to say it about our own.

Redeeming Coins for PayPal Cash

The payout threshold is 2,000 coins, which is $2.00, and it is the same in all four apps. You redeem from inside the app: choose the payout, enter the PayPal address you want the payment sent to, and confirm.

Once you confirm a redemption, we send the payment to that PayPal address, normally within three to five business days. We do not charge a fee for a payout. PayPal's own terms govern what happens once the payment reaches them, including any fees or limits they apply to your account.

Check the PayPal address before you confirm. Payments go to the address you enter. If it belongs to somebody else, or does not exist, we usually cannot recover the payment, so this is the one step worth reading twice.

We may hold a payment briefly while we verify the activity behind it. If we do, we will tell you, and if the activity checks out the payment is sent.

Coins Do Not Expire

We have no inactivity rule. A balance does not shrink because you stopped opening the app, there is no maintenance fee, and nothing expires on a timer. If you come back after a year, the coins are where you left them. That is unusual in this category and we intend to keep it.

The one thing that does end a balance is closing the account, whether you close it or we do. See termination, below.

What We Do Not Allow

Coins are paid for real activity by a real person. The following will void the coins involved, and may end the account:

Where we can tell the difference, we void only the coins that came from the activity in question rather than the whole balance. Where we cannot, or where the account exists mainly for that purpose, we close it. If you think we have this wrong, write to us and a person will look at it.

Advertising

The apps show advertising, which is what funds the payouts. Some of it is optional, in the sense that you choose to watch a bonus ad in exchange for coins, and some of it is not. Which advertising networks we use and what they receive is set out in the Privacy Policy.

The Apps Themselves

We may change, suspend, or discontinue an app or a feature. If we ever discontinue an app that holds balances, we will give notice and a window to redeem, because we have written at length about what it looks like when a company does not and would rather not be that example.

The apps are provided as they are. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not promise any particular amount of earnings. What you can realistically expect is set out plainly on what you can actually earn: this is pocket money, not income, and nothing here should be read as a promise of a wage.

Termination

You may stop using an app at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account by writing to privacy@illuminationdevelopment.com. Deleting an account ends any coin balance in it, so redeem first if you are above the threshold.

We may suspend or close an account for the reasons in the section above, or where we are required to. Where a balance was earned legitimately and is above the payout threshold, we will pay it out rather than keep it.

Governing Law

Illumination Development, L.L.C. is based in Phoenix, Arizona. These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the apps, are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that goes to court will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you and we both agree to those courts hearing it.

Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law where you live that cannot be waived by agreement, including any right to bring a claim in a small claims court. Before it comes to any of that, please write to us: most of what reaches this page is a misunderstanding about a payout, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Any change will be posted on this page with a new revision date, and continuing to use the apps after that date means you accept the updated terms. If a change materially affects payouts, we will say so in the app rather than only here.
