Illumination Development ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services.

Fifteen apps are not covered by this policy, because the sections below would describe them inaccurately. Each has its own:

• Community Stress First Aid has no advertising, no analytics, and no accounts, and collects nothing at all — its privacy policy.
• Apps That Pay has no account, no server and no reward balance. It shows one banner ad, and everything you enter stays on your device — its privacy policy.
• Pie Cannon: Carnival Shootout is a game for children. It has no account and no rewards, it asks for no advertising identifier and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Acorn Trail is a puzzle game for children. It has no account and no rewards, it asks for no advertising identifier and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Asteroid Duel has no account, nothing for sale and no rewards. Two people play on one device or over their own Wi-Fi, with no server and no names on the wire; it asks for no advertising identifier and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Peel Frenzy is a peeling game for children. It has no account and no rewards, it asks for no advertising identifier and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Taco Rain: Catch the Tacos is a catching game for children. It has no account and no rewards, it asks for no advertising identifier and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is non-personalized. It is also the one app with a second advertising network, Kidoz, which does not run in Europe — its privacy policy.
• Bramble Knight is a platform game for children. It has no account and nothing for sale, and its coins are worth nothing outside the game. It asks for no advertising identifier and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Broadside is a sea-battle game for children. It has no account and nothing for sale, and its doubloons are worth nothing outside the game. It asks for no advertising identifier and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Handyman Calc is a construction calculator. It has no account and no rewards, and everything you calculate or save stays on your device. Unlike the games above it is for adults and is not child-directed, so its advertising can be personalized — its privacy policy.
• Stitch Keeper: Row Counter is a row counter for crochet and knitting. It has no account and no rewards, and your projects, counts and photos stay on your device. Like Handyman Calc it is for adults and is not child-directed, so its advertising can be personalized — its privacy policy.
• Card Lab: Trading Card Maker is a trading card maker for children and families. It has no account, no rewards and nothing for sale, and your cards and photos stay on your device. It asks for no advertising identifier on iPhone or iPad and shows no tracking prompt, and every advertisement in it is child-directed and non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Househand is a home maintenance tracker. It has no account and no rewards, and your home's record and every date you log stay on your device, with reminders scheduled on the device itself. Like Handyman Calc it is for adults and is not child-directed, so its advertising can be personalized — its privacy policy.
• Practice Proof is a music practice log. It uses the microphone only during a practice session, analyses the sound on the phone and records nothing, has no account, and keeps the practice log on the phone. Every advertisement in it is child-directed and non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Initiative Tracker: DM Tools is a combat tracker for tabletop game masters. It has no account and no sign-in, and your party, encounters and fights stay on your device. Like Handyman Calc it is not child-directed, so its advertising can be personalized — its privacy policy.
• Chess Clock & Scorepad is a two-player chess clock that can also record the game. It has no account and no sign-in, and your games stay on your device unless you share one as PGN. It is not child-directed, so its advertising can be personalized — its privacy policy.
• Dead Center: Card Centering measures how well a trading card is centered. It has no account and no sign-in, and your card photos and measurements stay on your device. Its one advertising banner is non-personalized — its privacy policy.
• Notebird is a game for learning to read music notes. It has no account and no sign-in, and your progress stays on your device. Every advertisement in it is child-directed and non-personalized, and none is shown during a round — its privacy policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Name, email address, and account information you voluntarily provide.
• Device information such as device model, operating system, and app version.
• IP address and approximate location information.
• Usage data, app interactions, and analytics information.
• Reward activity, redemption history, and transaction records.
• Information submitted through customer support requests.
• Health and fitness data — your daily step count, and only in Step And Earn, only with your permission. See Health and Fitness Data below.

How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve our services.
• Deliver rewards, incentives, and promotional opportunities.
• Process account registrations and user requests.
• Measure advertising performance and user engagement.
• Detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Health and Fitness Data

One app reads health data: Step And Earn. No other application we publish requests, receives, or stores health or fitness data of any kind.

What we access. Step And Earn reads a single value: the number of steps recorded on your device since midnight in your local time zone. It reads this from Apple HealthKit on iPhone and from Health Connect on Android. It requests read-only access to step count and to nothing else — no heart rate, no workouts, no sleep, no weight, no location, and no other health or fitness category. It never writes anything back to HealthKit or Health Connect.

Only with your permission. Step counts are read only after you grant permission at the operating-system prompt. If you decline, the app tells you it cannot see your steps rather than showing an empty total, and the rest of the app continues to work. You can withdraw permission at any time — on iPhone in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices, and on Android in the Health Connect app — and the app stops reading step data immediately.

What we use it for. Your step count is used to show your progress toward the walking milestones in the app, to determine which milestone rewards you have earned, and to display your walking history. That is the whole of it. Step data is not used to select or personalize advertising, is not shared with any advertising partner, is not used for analytics or profiling, and is never sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where it is stored. Your step count is stored on your device. A daily total is also saved to our Google Firebase Firestore database, recorded against an anonymous account identifier rather than your name or email address, so that your progress survives reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. What is stored is the day's step total and your milestone progress for that day — nothing more granular, and no other health category.

Deleting it. Step And Earn has a “Delete my data” option in its settings. It erases the step counts and reward history stored on your device, and deletes the anonymous account identifier described above, so the daily totals held in our database are no longer connected to any account or to you. Those stored daily totals are not themselves removed by that option. To have them deleted as well, contact us at privacy@illuminationdevelopment.com and we will delete them. Advertising

Our applications may display advertisements from third-party advertising partners. These partners may collect information through advertising technologies to provide, measure, and improve advertising experiences.

This section and the three below it describe advertising in our apps. Some pages of this website also carry advertising, which works differently and is described separately under Website Advertising.

Advertising Identifiers

We and our advertising partners may collect advertising identifiers such as Google's Advertising ID (AAID) and Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), where permitted. These identifiers help deliver advertisements, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.

Google AdMob

Our applications may use Google AdMob and related Google advertising services. Google may collect and process information including advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, app activity, and interaction data according to Google's privacy policies.

Google AdMob is the only advertising network

Every app covered by this policy serves advertising from Google AdMob and from no one else. Earlier versions of this page also described Unity Ads, which used to serve an advertisement when AdMob had none available. Unity Ads was removed from these apps and is no longer in any of them, so nothing is shared with Unity Technologies and its advertising identifier is not collected.

We require our advertising partners to protect the information they receive to a standard at least equivalent to the one described in this policy. On iOS, no personalized advertising identifier is shared with any partner unless you allow it in the tracking prompt shown before the first advertisement, and you can change that choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Reward and Earnings Tracking

Some applications may provide opportunities for users to earn rewards, points, or incentives. To administer these programs, we may collect information related to:

• Ad views and engagement activity.
• Offer completions.
• Reward balances and redemption history.
• Fraud prevention and account verification signals.

This information is used solely to operate reward programs, verify eligibility, and prevent abuse of our services.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to improve services, analyze usage, personalize experiences, and support advertising functionality.

Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use our pages. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the site or search that referred you, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and general details about your browser and device.

We use this information only in aggregate, to see which pages are useful and to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with the information collected by our apps.

We use Google Consent Mode. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent until you accept them using the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, the site works exactly the same way — we simply do not measure your visit.

You can change your choice at any time using the link below, and you can withdraw consent just as easily as you gave it.

Manage cookie preferences

You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Google's own explanation of how it handles this data is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Website Advertising

Some pages on this website carry advertisements served by Google AdSense. These are the pages that answer a question about an app — the reviews, the payout pages, the cost pages, the alternatives pages and the articles. Our own app pages, the home page and the pages listing our apps carry no advertising, so that nothing on them is competing for your attention with what we are telling you about our own work.

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve those advertisements, to measure them, and — where you have allowed it — to select them based on your prior visits to this and other websites. We do not receive, and cannot see, any information identifying you from this; what we get is an aggregate count of how many advertisements were shown and what they earned.

We are not paid a commission by any app named on this site, and we do not choose which advertisements appear. An advertisement for an app is not a recommendation from us, including where it appears on a page reviewing that app or one of its competitors. Every advertisement is labeled “Advertisement” above it.

Advertisements are labeled and separated from our own writing because our reviews take no referral fee, and a reader who cannot tell the difference has no way to know that.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the pages carrying advertisements ask for your consent through Google’s own consent message before any advertising cookie is set, and you can reopen that choice from the same message on any of those pages. Third-Party Services

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

GDPR Privacy Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, you may have rights including:
