Where we stand, before anything else. We make Todo and Earn, a to-do list on the App Store and Google Play that pays a coin per finished task. Fabulous includes a to-do list and a daily planner, so the two overlap a little. Ours is free, funded by ads, with nothing to buy. We take no referral fee from Fabulous and there is no affiliate link here.

Yes, the basic app is free, and Fabulous's help center says it stays usable without paying “for as long as you'd like”. Premium is the paid tier, and Fabulous publishes its price on no page of its own. Apple's list shows ten items from $16.99 to $59.99. Live coaching is a separate subscription at $87 a month.

Every surface read for a Premium price

What each Fabulous surface showed about the price of Premium on 14 October 2026
Surface What it shows
Homepage FAQ, “How much does Fabulous cost?” “You can purchase a Premium plan, billed monthly or annually. No extra costs or contracts.” No figure
Subscription Terms, 18 June 2026 Prices “shown to you at checkout”. No figure
Both store descriptions “You can always see the exact price in the app.” (Apple's wording)
App Store, Information row Ten items, $16.99 to $59.99. No billing periods
App Store, promoted purchase None above App Privacy
Google Play, About panel “$3.99 - $299.99 per item”
Google Play, items and offers Absent under both headings

Google Play's top figure is five times Apple's, and no page we read names the item that costs $299.99. Google Play was read once, on 14 October 2026.

Apple's list: six prices under one name

Every item in the Information row of Fabulous's App Store listing, 14 October 2026
Item, as Apple lists it Price
Fabulous Premium$39.99
Fabulous Premium$35.99
Fabulous Annual Subscription$49.99
Fabulous Premium Offer$49.99
Fabulous Premium$59.99
Premium Quarterly$39.99
Fabulous Premium$19.99
Sphere: Annually 50% Off$59.99
Fabulous Premium$16.99
Fabulous Premium$29.99

Six rows read “Fabulous Premium” at six different prices, and only three of the ten carry a period in their name. Ten is Apple's cap, so the list may be a sample. Nothing on the listing or in the help center says what “Sphere” is.

Monthly or annually, or four other lengths

The homepage says Premium is “billed monthly or annually”. The Subscription Terms list more renewal periods than that: “weekly, monthly, every 2 months, every 3 months, 6-monthly, or yearly, depending on the plan you chose”. Apple's list includes one of the extra lengths by name, Premium Quarterly at $39.99.

The terms also say many plans start at an introductory price for the first 1, 3 or 12 months. After that, the plan renews at the standard price, which appears only at checkout and in the confirmation email. So the first charge and the renewal charge can differ, and neither is printed in advance.

The trial needs a card, and a day's notice

Fabulous trial rules, from its help center and Subscription Terms
Rule What Fabulous says
Payment method Trials “require a valid payment method to activate”
At the end Converts to a paid plan automatically
Deadline Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. On the last day, canceling “may not stop the charge”
$1 on your statement A card verification hold, released in 5 to 7 business days; one per app if you started several
Trial length Shown at checkout and in an email. Not published

Where you subscribed decides how you leave

Fabulous sells through three routes, and each has its own cancel and refund path. The help center lays them out plainly.

How to cancel Fabulous and who refunds, by where the subscription was bought
Bought through Cancel at Refunds
Apple Your Apple subscriptions Apple. Fabulous “cannot process refunds for in-app purchases”
Google Play Your Google Play subscriptions Google
thefabulous.co app.thefabulous.co → the app → Membership Plans → Cancel Plan A form; the terms say the price “is generally not refundable”

The Subscription Terms describe the web route as Account, then Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription, which is not the wording in the help article. Look for either. Deleting the app cancels nothing.

The plans that do not cancel each other

Three web-only offers have rules a store subscriber never sees. The App Bundle Plan covers Fabulous, Shape, Elixir, Clarify, Lumiere and Lune. The help center calls it “a single subscription”, then says each app in it is canceled separately. Canceling one does not cancel the rest.

The Lifetime plan is for Fabulous only, sold on the website, and no page we read gives its price. If you already have a trial or a recurring plan, the help center says to cancel it first “to avoid overlap”. The student discount has the same condition. Its size is not published.

Coaching: $87 a month, and the trial is paid

Fabulous Live Coaching price and terms, 14 October 2026
Item What Fabulous publishes
First session $67, marked 20% off
After that $87 a month: one 30-minute video session, plus email support
First year $67 + 11 × $87 = $1,024 (derived)
The “trial” The paid first session. After it, “do nothing and your membership will automatically continue”
Refunds “There is no refund policy available for Live Coaching Services” (Terms of Use)

Coaching is the one Fabulous product with its price on its own page. The store descriptions list “personal one-on-one coaching” among the Premium features, but the help center sells it as a separate monthly subscription.

Other habit apps, and how they price

Habit and routine apps on the US App Store and what Apple lists for each, 14 October 2026
App Apple ratings What Apple lists Data Used to Track You
Me+ Lifestyle Routine About 248,000 Ten items, $7.99 to $69.99, seven with a period in the name Identifiers
Fabulous About 89,000 Ten items, $16.99 to $59.99; six named Fabulous Premium Contact Info
Habitify About 7,100 Ten items, each with a period: Monthly $8.99, Yearly $49.99, Family $89.99, Lifetime $119.99 and others None listed
(Not Boring) Habits About 6,300 Yearly $29.99, Monthly $7.99, Lifetime $59.99, and skins from $4.99 None: “Data Not Collected”
Todo and Earn (ours) New Nothing to buy; funded by ads Not compared here

Habitify and (Not Boring) Habits name the period on almost every item, so Apple's list reads as a price list. Both also sell a one-time Lifetime plan in the app, which Fabulous keeps to its website.

What Fabulous does better

  • A free tier with no end date, in writing. Two of Fabulous's own apps, Shape and Elixir, need Premium to open at all. The help center commits to free Journeys and Challenges in Fabulous for as long as you use it.
  • Guided content, not only checkboxes. Audio coaching, Journeys built around a goal, and routines that play one step at a time. Apple gave it an Editors' Choice badge. Todo and Earn is a plain list.
  • Real people. Coaching puts a human coach on a monthly video call, at a price printed on the page.
  • The trial traps are named. The help center explains the $1 hold, the 24-hour deadline and the fact that deleting the app cancels nothing, in articles titled for the question people ask.

What we could not check

Nothing inside the app or behind a Fabulous login was read. So the price a new US subscriber sees today, the trial length, the Lifetime price and the student discount are all missing. So is which of Apple's six “Fabulous Premium” rows is monthly, quarterly or yearly.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Fabulous app free?

The basic app is. Fabulous's help center says it "can be used without a Premium membership for as long as you'd like", with free Journeys, Challenges and Guided Activities. Premium is the paid tier. Two of its sister apps, Shape and Elixir, don't have a free version.

How much does Fabulous Premium cost?

Fabulous doesn't print a figure on its own site. Its homepage FAQ says only that Premium is "billed monthly or annually", and the store descriptions say you can see the exact price in the app. Apple's US listing showed six items named Fabulous Premium on 14 October 2026, from $16.99 to $59.99, with no billing periods.

Does the Fabulous free trial need a credit card?

Yes. The help center says free trials "require a valid payment method to activate" and convert to a paid plan unless you cancel. If you see a $1 charge when you start, that's a card verification hold, which it says your bank releases in 5 to 7 business days.

How do I cancel Fabulous before the trial ends?

Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, in the place you subscribed: your Apple or Google Play subscriptions for a store purchase, or app.thefabulous.co, then Membership Plans, then Cancel Plan, for a web one. The help center warns that canceling on the last day "may not stop the charge". Deleting the app doesn't cancel anything.

Can I get a refund from Fabulous?

It depends who took the money. Apple and Google handle refunds for store purchases, and Fabulous says it can't process them. For a web subscription there's a refund form, but the Terms of Use say the price "is generally not refundable" except where the law requires one.

How much is Fabulous coaching?

Fabulous's coaching page showed $67 for the first session, marked 20% off, then $87 a month for one 30-minute video session plus email support. Its terms say there's no refund policy for Live Coaching.

Does Fabulous have a lifetime plan?

Yes, for the Fabulous app only, and only on the website, according to the help center. It asks you to cancel any trial or recurring subscription first, since buying Lifetime doesn't stop the old one. No Lifetime price was published on any page we read.

Does canceling one Fabulous app cancel the others?

No. Each subscription renews on its own, and that includes the App Bundle Plan, which the help center calls a single subscription but cancels one app at a time.

The same method, on the apps that pay

This page asks what an app costs. The rest of the site asks the opposite question of reward apps, with every figure read at the source and dated, in the reviews and what they actually pay.
