Where we stand. We do not make an astrology app, and nothing we ship competes with The Pattern. We take no referral fee from Pattern Home, Apple or Google, and there is no affiliate link here. This page exists because people reach our site searching for The Pattern’s pricing, and the answer is spread across two stores and a help center.
Yes, partly. The Pattern is free to download and gives a free account a daily reading and three Bonds a day. Most of the rest sits behind Go Deeper+, which costs $14.99 a month, $29.99 a quarter or $83.99 a year on the US App Store.

The help center calls the extra Custom Friend slots “a one-time bonus” added on purchase, and in the same paragraph a benefit “during their subscription period”. It does not say whether the slots stay after a plan ends.

Apple shows at most ten items and does not claim the list is complete. The help center mentions extra Reveals “for a small fee”, and no Reveal appears on the list. Billing periods are taken from the item names; Apple prints none.
Three things on that list do not line up with the rest of what The Pattern publishes.
- The no-audio plans cost the same as the audio plans. Go Deeper Quarterly (no audio) is $29.99 and Go Deeper+ Quarterly is $29.99. The annual pair are both $83.99. Nothing we read says who is offered the no-audio plans, or why they exist at the same price.
- The monthly plan is on the list but not in the help center. The help center’s subscriptions article says Go Deeper+ is offered “quarterly (3 months) or annually (12 months)”. Apple lists Go Deeper+ Monthly at $14.99.
- “Starting at $14.99 USD per month” is the top of the range. Both store descriptions use that line. The annual plan is $7.00 a month, and the quarterly plan is $10.00.
Google Play names no items. The listing carries an “In-app purchases” badge and no items-and-offers section, and its page data holds the range “$8.99 - $83.99 per item”, read once on 30 October 2026. That matches the lowest and highest prices on Apple’s list.
Canceling, refunds and switching phones

Both forms are the developer’s own, and they describe what reads like two different apps. Apple’s lists photos and user content, which fit a dating profile and chat; Play’s collects nothing but an optional location. Play’s location appears nowhere on Apple’s. Both listings carry the same description, Connect dating and chat included.
What The Pattern does well
- A free tier you can use every day. The daily update and three Bonds a day renew without paying, so the app is useful before any plan.
- A public help center. 114 articles, 71 of them updated since the end of July, answer the cancel, refund and account questions in plain steps, without a login.
- The annual plan is a real discount. $83.99 a year is $7.00 a month, under half the $14.99 monthly price.
- A stated position on its AI. The help center says In-Depth runs on The Pattern’s own hardware, not ChatGPT or another third party, and is not trained on your chats. We could not verify that, but it is in writing.
- It is on both stores, with over a million Google Play downloads and about 16,000 App Store ratings.
What we could not check
We did not open the app or sign in. That leaves out the plan screen and whether it offers the monthly plan, the price of an extra Reveal, what unlimited In-Depth costs and which plan includes it, any trial or introductory offer, and prices outside the US.
